Nikkele L. Shelton is an English instructor, freelance editor, and novelist. In 2015 she penned her first novel, Crimson Sky, which tells the conversion story of the daughter of a voodoo priestess. She is in the process of completing the sequel, The Prophetess Witch.
Nikkele has received her BA and MA in English Literature from the University of Memphis. After teaching English Literature, Communications, and Composition for fourteen years, she returned to college in 2016 and earned an MA in Religion in Contemporary Society from King’s College London in London, UK. While at King’s, she has received the Walton Scholarship from the department of Theology and Religious Studies, and was awarded the Shelford MA Prize for best performance in her program.
